Village Woods Achieves Deficiency-Free IDPH Survey

For the second consecutive year, Village Woods Retirement & Assisted Living received a deficiency-free survey from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).

“Congratulations to the staff at Village Woods for their deficiency-free Assisted Living Survey,” says Megan Tengerstrom, Vice-President of Operations. “This speaks to the staff members’ dedication to following regulations and providing the highest quality of support for our Assisted Living Residents at Village Woods.”

The results from this annual survey renews their Assisted Living licensure and ensures that Village Woods is in compliance with all IDPH requirements. 

“It’s absolutely phenomenal to receive a deficiency-free survey result,” says Maria Franks, Village Woods Director of Clinical Services.

“We have an incredible team of staff who are all dedicated to the well-being of each resident.”

While an assisted living community can pass a survey with some deficiencies, it is a testament to the commitment Village Woods has to the people they serve that IDPH could not find any deficiencies after their thorough review.

“Achieving a deficiency-free rating is exceedingly difficult,” says Rick Molenhouse, Community Manager. “Our team works hard to provide quality care to enhance the lives of those we serve. The care we deliver meets or exceeds rigorous state standards, which is a great comfort to our residents and their families.”
